Senior GL Accountant

We are seeking a financial and accounting expert to become a member of a large international medical device company. As a member of the General Ledger Team, you will have a significant contribution towards the daily financial operations. The key responsibility of this position is to guarantee precision and promptness in reporting financial results.

Responsibilities: Senior GL Accountant

As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

Preparing monthly accruals and provisions, with a focus on payroll-related items;

Reconciling all balance sheet items and preparing documentation for review;

Preparing VAT Returns, including journal entries;

Reconciling intercompany accounts, including loans/interests and invoices;

Processing bank entries related to the GL;

Actively participating in the month-end closing process;

Participating in the statutory accounts audit;

Requirements: Senior GL Accountant

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have:

3-5 years of financial or accounting experience, preferably in a large international organization;

Minimum HBO level educational background in accounting, finance, economics or related field;

Strong technical skillset in Office software applications; 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently;

Some familiarity and experience with ERP Systems, preferably Oracle;

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma would be considered a plus;

Strong command of the English language required, Dutch preferred.
