Position Summary
Responsible for the strategic and tactical execution of global STERIS transportation operations. Inclusive of carrier RFQs, rate negotiations, contracting, performance management, and freight bill audit and pay. Ensure global coverage, capability and integration with STERIS systems and processes. Collaborate with key stakeholders to create and maintain flexible transportation capabilities to meet internal and external customer needs. Ensure providers are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations regardless of region of operation. Drive cost containment through provider rationalization, utilization, mode, and service level optimization. Resolve issues timely and collaboratively.
Education Degree
Master’s Degree in Organization Development
Required Experience
Minimum ten (10) to 15 years experience in global transportation, covering all major modes (Truck, LTL, parcel, ocean, rail), warehouse shipping/receiving, technology (TMS) implementation and use, and integration with other supply chain systems.
Ability to develop business strategies and create buy in with all levels of the organization in a clear, efficient, and effective manner.
