Overview
As a Data Scientist, you will strengthen CGI’s growing multidisciplinary innovation lab. You help clients in an innovation ecosystem to shape their data-driven strategies and provide insights that guide action. You will perform analyses using cutting-edge concepts in artificial intelligence, develop machine learning algorithms to answer current technological questions, and visually communicate findings to stakeholders. You translate industry and IT trends into innovative solutions and participate in business development and sales processes to create new opportunities with existing or new CGI clients. You are a team player who works with diverse experts to achieve the best solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to client innovation ecosystems, shaping data-driven strategies and providing actionable insights.
- Perform analyses using current AI concepts and develop machine learning algorithms to address current questions.
- Visualize information to make insights understandable for stakeholders.
- Translate industry and IT trends into innovative solutions aligned with client business operations.
- Participate in business development and sales activities to create opportunities with CGI’s clients.
- Collaborate within a diverse team to achieve the best outcomes and coach/mentor colleagues as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Completed HBO or WO degree with a strong statistical component (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or Econometrics).
- Knowledge and experience with Python and/or R (pandas, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, matplotlib).
- Experience with advanced analytics, big data, and machine learning.
- Experience with ML libraries for classification and regression (scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of NLP libraries (e.g., SpaCy, NLPK, or Stanford).
- Proven experience solving complex data analysis and modeling challenges.
- 2–5 years of experience in the data domain.
- Knowledge of Agile working methods.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google.
- Good command of Dutch and English (spoken and written).
